Hello all!

Well, it's nearly the end of January Term for my school and along with it comes the close of a lot of free time for me. Coincidentally, this also means the end of lots of time to do art for me as well. Sad!

(But, what is happy about all of this is that it means that graduation is that much closer. W00T).

As you might have noticed, I have procured a tablet for myself. Yipee! I should be puting out quite a bit more digital art in the near future I have also started to offer translations of my descriptions and such in French pour les artistes internationaux (aussi pour pratiquer mes compétences de langue françaises)

----- ART CHALLENGE -----

So, I started reading this book called "The Book of Other People", edited by Zadie Smith. It's a collection of short stories about different characters by different authors, and I started thinking that this would be a great way to practice both my art and writing skills at the same time, so, here's the challenge:

I challenge anyone who's up to it to come up with 5-10 original characters, to write a short story for each character, and to illustrate their characters.

- The characters MAY be original fan characters (such as original characters for Harry Potter, LOTR, Naruto, or whichever fandom you prefer), but they MAY NOT be directly linked to the main characters of that world. For instance, if you were going to create a character for Harry Potter, he or she may attend school with Harry, but must not interact with him.

- Your characters may interact with each other if you wish.

- You may use photography to picture your character.

- If you decide to participate in this challenge, please send me a note with how many characters you're going to do and I'll stick your icon in this journal post.

- When you finish a character, please post your picture of him/her on dA with an excerpt from your story in the description and link back to this post, also send me a note so I can update others who are in on the challenge.
