Vendie Reference Sheet

HOLY BUCKETS. FINALLY. I've been working on this since oh... August.

This is Vendie "Ariniel" Peredhil.

NAME TRANSLATIONS
Vendie = A translation for the name "Katherine" in Quenya. My name is Katherine, and since Vendie is supposed to be a representation of me...

Ariniel = "Morning Star" in Sindarin. This name is derived from Revelation 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root, and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." And, by using this, I'm not claiming to be Christ, I'm claiming Christ as my savior

Peredhil = "Half-Elven". She's half-elven, so... yeah. (Which, by the way, I am NOT. I'm definitely all human. Curses)

Vendie, as I said, is half-elven living in a modern world. Mary-sue-ish, I know. But it's not like I'm writing a story about how she snogs Legolas, so it's okay Anyway. She likes to read, sing, sleep... Oh, and loves coffee a bit more than she ought too. She loves travel, hence the Italia shirt. Maybe more on this later. My brain is dead.

EDIT: Ahem. Yes. Adding to my description of Vendie.
So, Vendie is the last elfling born to the elves that did not leave Imladris before the world changed. She is currently 50 elf years old, so she appears to be about in her twenties to men. Like I said, she's half-elven. Her father is a descendant of Elrond and her mother was a mortal, and she inherited her hair color from her mother (because, obviously, not many elves have red hair). Her birthday is March first in the morning when the stars were still shining, which is the birth and death date of Aragorn Elessar. And as such, her people believe that her fate is directly tied to the line of Elessar that was lost after the fall of Gondor.

*dodges sharp pointy objects* A.U.! NOT MARY SUE!

[EDIT...again] I got rid of the second "other outfit" Vendie because I wasn't a fan of the way it looked... That, and I wanted to use a "traditional elven dress" outfit anyway, but I didn't have a good sketch to use at the time. I spent a lot of time developing the elven dress and I'm not sure if I like the detail... but I like how the rest looks. Vendie has to hide her ears in the modern world, so she only wears her hair up when she wears traditional elven clothing. I'm REALLY happy with the way the entire finished product turned out. This whole reference sheet thing has been an amazing learning experience for me and my art has improved by leaps and bounds because of this. Please comment, critique, whatever! I would LOVE feedback!!
